The Dragon Guardians are those that are close to the Guardian Dragon and defend it at all costs. They are tasked with the command of the Guardian towers as well and see to the tactical plans and the organisation of the order from their council in the war room.
The Specialized Guardians aren't really named like this in the lore but it is a category of Guardians that dedicate themselves either to an elemental study, or to a specific job or task within the order. A group of Guardians that actually should not exist, but Sloan is one of the proves of their existence.
They are a hidden faction within the Guardian ranks that protects the faction from inside. The Guardian Defenders are firstly and mainly the protectors of the Guardian Tower and the town it is located in. They do the tower jobs, the guard duties and the defending. The common guardian which is in the service of the faction. Guardians wander Lore to preserve balance and protect the people. In this timeline the Guardians are known as the protectors of the people.
They do not limit themselves to Battleon only however, but also reach out to other villages to protect them from disbalance. Guardians in this timeline have a lot of options, and are able to change element and class within the faction. As the Guardian Dragon leads the faction officially, Nimrod is in charge of the Guardian tower. The title of Guardian in this timeline comes with a lot of advantages and quests. Some of them include finding back Aelthai , rescuing the Guardian Dragon and of course each personal's quest for the set of Awe with the help of Valencia.
The power of the Guardians in the Dragonfable timeline is definitely dimished compared to it's earlier timeline. It appears that the Guardian Dragon is not as available as before and the Guardians have left Battleon and set up in Falconreach instead.
Their numbers are considerably lower and their options too. The tower is lead by Malek the Loremaster, but it is Eckhard the Guardian trainer that knows the most. Previous Guardian figures seem to be gone and the Tower is supposedly lead by Guardian Wyrm , while Niamara is the recruiter.

Very informative, nice video Saigo! In northstar, i apperantly had to do the quest line in frozenruins to be able to do the quests in northstar. And i had to do the quests to get to the boss.
